Welcome to Fresh, Delicious and Locally Grown!

Bringing the Farm to
Your Table

Community Farm Connection is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to supporting small farmers and improving consumer access to locally grown food.  We support sustainable agriculture, small diversified farms and our communities by bringing farmers new opportunities to get their bounty to your table.

Working directly with farmers from around North Central Washington, we create cooperative new ways to bring fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, cheese and other locally produced food right into Wenatchee where consumers can find it more conveniently.  Here are some of our programs:

Farmhouse Table Local Foods Market:  Open 5 days a week, Farmhouse Table offers local meat, dairy, bread, grains, honey, fruits, nuts, and fresh vegetables from a convenient store at 10 N. Mission Street in Wenatchee.

Farmhouse Table CSA:  By paying in advance for a weekly box of produce, CSA subscribers directly increase the profitibility of small, diversified farms.

Farm-to-Chef:  Connects chefs, caterers and restaurants directly to all kinds of farms and artisan food operations, allowing them to highlight more fresh, seasonal food on local menus.

Think Local, Buy Local, Eat Local:  A campaign to raise consumer awareness about the many economic, environmental, and quality-of-life benefits when we buy from independent, local businesses and farms.

Are you thinking fondly about rhubarb pie, fresh peas and those first spears of delicious grilled asparagus?  Even with our wild spring weather, crops are coming on strong from small farms all around North Central Washington.  The Farmhouse Table Local Foods Market opens in early May, our CSA program begins June 2 and regional farmers markets start opening up from late May to mid June.

You can still sign-up for our 2010 cooperative CSA program.  The non-profit program provides you with a weekly box of fresh vegetables, fruit and other local treats from a network of over 30 regional small farms.  Most of the produce is certified organic and all the farms in our program proudly use sustainable farming practices.

If you are interested in subscribing this year, please contact our CSA Coordinator Mike Cochran for more information at mike@communityfarmconnection.org or click the "CSA Program" button above to go to that page on our website.   We'll be offering extras again this year like fresh flowers, raw milk, farm-fresh eggs, hand-baked bread and our favorite cookbook.

Last fall, Wenatchee Valley College faculty and students generously installed a second walk-in cooler for us to use in the warehouse, so we should be able to provide about 200 shares this year.  Our CSA program follows the main growing season here -- early June through late October -- so you get 22 weeks of the freshest fruits and vegetables grown right here in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Grant counties.  Volunteers help transport the produce and pack the boxes for distribution at the Farmhouse Table shop on 10 North Mission Street.
